The Bubble Gum strain is legendary for its sweet, bubblegum smell and euphoric high. Bubble Gum seeds grow into medium-sized plants, usually not too branched (sometimes tall), and produce compact, crystal-covered buds. Plants grown from seed are very similar to each other.

Legendary for its sweet smell and highly euphoric effect , and winner of more than 13 awards in cannabis competitions, Bubble Gum weed has few branches, sometimes grows tall, and bears compact heads covered in crystals. Seedlings produce very similar plants. It is the only pure strain (i.e., not an F1 hybrid) in the Serious range. Bubble Gum, cultivated outdoors in Spain, has won numerous awards, including First Prize Outdoor at the Spannabis Champions Cup in December 2005.

Genetics:

Bubble Gum was originally developed by breeders in Indiana, USA. From there, the genetics moved to New England and eventually to the Netherlands. It took many generations to finally produce this stable Bubble Gum.

Taste and aroma:

Bubble Gum Weed is recognizable by its characteristic sweet smell (reminiscent of a typical bubble gum flavor). These flavors linger in the mouth and will satisfy even the most discerning palates.

Your cultivation:

Bubble Gum seeds will delight all growers, both beginners and experienced, thanks to their easy-to-cultivate genetics! You'll be thrilled to see long, trichome-covered buds during the grow.

Stabilized Bubble Gum produces plants with few branches, but these expand during stretching; caution should be used in small growing areas.

It's a strong and beautiful plant that grows a heavy stem; you never need to tie on large buds. The early stages of the seedlings can be delicate, and you'll need to be a little careful during this stage. It's important not to let them be overgrown by neighboring plants, which may initially grow faster. Once they're about 2 weeks old, the Bubble Gums will begin to grow faster, growing as fast as other plants. This growth delay can be explained by the fact that BG is an inbred line and therefore doesn't have the hybrid vigor effect (faster and stronger growth) of F1 hybrids.

Their effects:

Bubble Gum Weed generally has a powerful effect on the body and a very pleasant euphoric side! Its long-lasting relaxing properties make it a great partner for unwinding after a good day at work.

A little history:

There are several strains in the world of cannabis genetics whose origins and subsequent selection process are unclear. Breeders are particularly confused when a particular strain is offered under the same name by two or more seed banks: who has the original, and who has the copies? The Bubblegum strain is a controversial one, with at least two seed banks offering their own versions—in this case, Serious Seeds and TH Seeds (both based in Amsterdam)—not to mention all the poor copies. That's why we decided to trace Bubble Gum's true roots.

The two breeders mentioned above came up with two corresponding versions of Bubble Gum's breeding history, which provide good reason for the existence of two high-quality Bubble Gum strains: The original seeds were developed by a breeder in Indiana (USA) during the 1980s. In 1993, this person gave three very different female Bubble Gum plants to Adam of TH, as well as to Simon and Tony (the two separated shortly thereafter; Simon founded Serious Seeds and Tony Sagarmatha Seeds) of Cerebral Seeds.

Bubble Gum thus came into the hands of three breeders in the Netherlands. From that moment on, several new chapters were written in Bubble Gum's breeding history; its development somehow branched out. Three breeders, three selection methods: These seed masters would make their own special selections from the three different genetic types they had received. Simon reports, "As far as I know, TH Seeds has worked more with one of these three plants than I have." Therefore, Adam (TH Seeds' BG will be a different story...) considers his Bubble Gum to be "primarily Indica," while Simon places his version in the "primarily Sativa" category. He focused his research on two of the three lines and ultimately settled on one type that would become his Bubble Gum seed variety.

It took five generations for Simon to achieve the desired breeding result and then officially registered it under the name "Bubble Gum".
